Friedrich Bidschof

Bidschof discovered two IC objects with the 27" refractor of Vienna Observatory: IC 1872 and IC 2951; see AN 3520, Catalog der auf der k. k. Sternwarte zu Wien beobachteten Nebelflecken, p. 258 (1898). IC 1872 was found in February 1891 and was classified as a "star cluster" (#16 in his list), but it is only a small group of 3-4 stars. IC 2951 (#84), found in February 1897, is a galaxy in Leo. The list also contains the galaxy IC 5290 (#201) in Aquarius, discovered by Spitaler.
