Niccolò Cacciatore

Cacciatore discovered the globular cluster NGC 6541 in Corona Australis on March 19, 1826 (see: Olbers AN #104, "Ein neuer Nebelfleck" AN #113, and Biela AN #120). He used a small refractor at Palermo Observatory. Dunlop found the object independently on July 3, 1826 from Paramatta (D 473).
