Father Johann Georg Hagen

Hagen is famous for his observations of 5800 NGC objects with the 16" refractor at Vatican Observatory, Castelgandolfo, starting in 1911. The result was published 1922 as A preparatory
catalogue for a Durchmusterung of nebulae. The zone catalogue
