Karl Wilhelm Reinmuth

Reinmuth is famous for his work Die Herschel-Nebel, published in 1926. It contains all objects north of -20° declination listed in John Herschel's General Catalogue (GC) and Dreyer's supplement (GCS). These 4445 objects were searched and described using photographies made with the 16 cm- and 40 cm-astrographs and the 72 cm-Waltz-reflector at Königstuhl Observatory.
