Obituary: VJS 54, 1 (1919); Obs. 41, 453 (1918)
Sinner was an assistant of Safford at Dearborn Observatory where he found 3 IC objects in 1867 with the 18.5" refractor. They were noticed too late by Dreyer to enter the NGC, because they were published 1887 in the Annual Report of the Board of Directors of the Chicago Astronomical Society, together with the Report of the Director of Dearborn Observatory for 1885 and 1886.
